lyrics
your footfall is constant
remarkably strong
the life by your side
a good reason to stand tall
carefree days, a distant haze
still sometimes as close
as the heat from the summer sun
a grand recognition,
awareness revealed
reality that stares you in the face
look who’s just posted
superlative praise
the love of your life
twenty-five years too late
and now there’s the children
you make them laugh
their favourite song
the one you sang them yesterday
your mother has left now
your father reduced
imprints marking every turn and curve
I
I remember you
always too far off
sepia and white
I
I remember you
holes in my memory
am I wrong, or right?
I
I remember you
nineteen ninety-two
sepia and white
I
I remember you
always too far off
is it black and white?
I
I remember you
placed in history
never wrong or right
I
I remember who
we all used to be
sepia and white
cry, cry for your lifeline
for all the times
you’ll never get back
cry, cry from the mountain
for all you have
you’ll never look back
farewell is a marker
along the way
a place you can’t stay
I don’t think you’d want it
it just wouldn’t fit
in plenty of ways

In the wake of buying the Welcome To The Planet I also went for this older "EP" (clocking in on 70 minutes a rather big big EP...) as a final farewell to a very bright bright star that sadly doesn't shine anymore. Carsten Pieper
The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022

What can I say about Big Big Train that I haven’t said before?
This album took a little while to grow on me but by the time I saw it live I was in love with its humongous, over-egged pomposity! They do it all with such passion, excitement and amazing musicianship.
